FAIRFAX, VA.—Omega World Travel, a woman-owned, fast-growing, award-winning global travel management company, announced its recent partnership with EcoKraft. EcoKraft provides its clients sustainable energy and environmental solutions to battle depleting natural resources and climate change with customized carbon asset management solutions. Omega will support EcoKraft’s mission by providing its clients with more sustainable travel management options so they can reach their corporate sustainability goals.
In the United States, federal agencies are required to compile their annual comprehensive greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory and uphold to the emissions standards that are managed by the Environmental Protection Agency as well as the General Services Administration. In addition private companies emitting more than 25,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions per year are required to track and report all operational and travel related activities that are responsible for emitting the greenhouse gas emissions.
“We are proud to be partnering with EcoKraft to provide sustainable travel management options to our clients,” says Omega president and CEO, Gloria Bohan. “Being corporately responsible is such an important issue, which is why we fully support EcoKraft and its mission and are honored to have this opportunity to continue to play our part in improving the travel industry.”
Eco Kraft is educating Omega and its clients and making them more aware of the environmental sustainability issues, why it is important to reduce the travel industry’s carbon footprint and how they can reduce their environmental impacts without increasing costs through integrated sustainable travel management solutions. EcoKraft and Omega are making it possible for their clients to save money while benefitting from greenhouse gas emission tracking and reporting. Savings in turn can be used to fund more green initiatives and highly sustainable projects tailored to clients’ specific needs and interests.
“As a growing Montgomery County, Md. based small business with extensive GHG management and sustainability experience, we are delighted to be working with Omega World Travel,” said Eco Kraft founder and managing director, Björn Fischer. “This partnership signifies a growing trend towards accounting for environmental impacts caused by travel. Together we will assist in identifying mutual corporate and leisure clients that are interested in sustainable travel options that help them save money while reducing their carbon footprint and achieving important corporate social responsibility goals.”
