COPENHAGEN, DENMARK—Starwood Hotels, the hotel brand management company that operates 1 Hotels, Baccarat Hotels, and Treehouse Hotels, announces the appointment of two key leaders to support the highly anticipated 1 Hotel Copenhagen, set to open next month. Isabella Gunnarsson will serve as Commercial Director, and Asbjørn Rytter joins as Director of Sales, marking a significant step in the brand’s expansion into Europe.
Gunnarsson has been promoted to Commercial Director for 1 Hotel Copenhagen, where she will lead all commercial operations, including sales, revenue management, and business development. Gunnarsson spent over a decade with Skt. Petri Hotel, playing a key role in its success and overseeing its transformation into 1 Hotel Copenhagen. Most recently, she served as Director of Revenue, where her leadership was instrumental in driving the property’s growth and overall business performance. Her deep market knowledge and collaborative approach were vital to the success of Skt. Petri Hotel, and she will continue to play a central role in meeting the evolving needs of 1 Hotel Copenhagen’s clients and partners. Gunnarsson holds a BA in International Hospitality Management from CPH Business in Copenhagen and an AP Degree in Service, Tourism, and Hospitality Management.
Asbjørn Rytter—Director of Sales
Asbjørn Rytter has been appointed as Director of Sales for 1 Hotel Copenhagen. With over seven years of experience in the industry, Rytter has mastered everything from corporate sales to individual travel, bringing a wealth of knowledge and an impressive network with him. His background in the travel industry, combined with his drive for delivering results, makes him a key asset in ensuring the successful launch and long-term success of 1 Hotel Copenhagen. He will report to the Commercial Director and collaborate closely with both the administration and operations teams to establish 1 Hotel Copenhagen as a leading player in the market and achieve financial goals in the coming years. Rytter previously served as a Key Account Manager International MICE at Scandic Hotels and is currently completing an AP Degree in Leadership & Management at CPH Business.
