WISCONSIN DELLS, WIS.—Kalahari Resorts & Conventions announced the launch of the Kalahari Adventure Collection, a new property tier defined by distinctive, experience-driven accommodations that invite guests to explore, connect and discover in unexpected ways. The first destination under this banner is now underway in Wisconsin Dells, with a bold mix of elevated treehouses, lakefront cabins and spacious villas, opening in 2026.
Tucked within the woods neighboring Kalahari’s flagship resort, the new development brings an entirely fresh flavor to the Kalahari experience—one where elevated design meets natural immersion. Leading the design and build of the custom treehouses is Nelson Treehouse, the renowned family-run company celebrated for its one-of-a-kind craftsmanship and iconic builds—as seen on the hit television show Treehouse Masters. With treetop views, warm modern interiors, and high-touch finishes, the Kalahari Adventure Collection sets a new bar for families and travelers craving something truly special.
Construction is now actively underway in Wisconsin Dells. Work on the Treehouse Resort began earlier this month, and by the end of this week, rough framing may start to take shape—giving guests their first glimpse of the immersive accommodations to come. Additionally, Daylene’s Supper Club—a 10-000-square-foot restaurant and another key portion of the project—is set to break ground on May 19, marking the start of major site transformation.
‘We’re Continuing to Evolve’
“The Kalahari Adventure Collection is a natural extension of the Kalahari brand,” said Todd Nelson, CEO and Founder of Kalahari Resorts & Conventions. “While we’ll always be known for our indoor waterparks and convention experiences, we’re continuing to evolve—creating destination stays that are as unique as the memories they inspire. This new tier gives us room to dream bigger.”
The Wisconsin Dells location will feature three types of accommodations:
- Treehouses—Elevated, design-forward units built by Nelson Treehouse.
- Lake Cabins—Ground-level homes with natural surroundings and direct lake access.
- Villas—Spacious, scenic accommodations along the waterfront.
While the treehouses, cabins and villas in Wisconsin Dells are the first to carry the Adventure Collection name, Kalahari views this as the beginning of a larger evolution. Plans are underway to explore how this new brand tier could be adapted and expanded to future developments at other Kalahari locations nationwide.
“We’re always looking for ways to push the boundaries of what’s possible,” added Nelson. “The Adventure Collection opens the door to a new kind of resort experience—one that’s driven by place, purpose, and the idea that travel should spark something special. We can’t wait to see where it takes us next.”
