1 Hotels & Treehouse Hotels 2025 openings were announced.

1 Hotel Melbourne is opening in March 2025. Situated on the Yarra River, 1 Hotels & Homes Melbourne, the brand’s first location in Australia, will feature 277 guestrooms and 114 hotel-branded residences. The luxury property will also feature several dining options and a stunning lobby bar with breathtaking waterfront views. Other amenities include Bamford Wellness Spa, an indoor pool, a large function center and access to a 3,500-square-meter public park.

The property’s biophilic design, which will include recycled and reclaimed timber from the site’s heritage wharf & shed as well as other local rail bridges and wharfs, places nature at the forefront, allowing guests, visitors, and residents to immerse themselves in the beauty of their surroundings. The distinctly Melbournian vibe is inspired by Victoria’s landscape—The Dandenong Ranges, The Great Otway National Park and the Yarra River.

From sustainable architecture to locally sourced materials, programming and partnerships, every aspect of the hotel is designed to create a harmonious connection between luxury and nature. 1 Hotel Melbourne is being developed in partnership with Riverlee and is part of the multi-purpose Northbank project, Seafarers.

1 Hotel Copenhagen

Opening in the Summer of 2025, 1 Hotel Copenhagen, centrally located at the intersection of the city’s vibrant Latin Quarter and its historic heart, will feature 282 rooms including 30 suites. With a Green-Michelin-starred Chef at the helm, the property will also feature locally sourced, seasonal cuisine as eclectic as the city itself at the signature restaurant and lobby bar. Guests and locals alike can find tranquility in the nature-inspired Bamford Wellness Spa, connect with the natural world in the property’s urban garden complete with an on-site bee hotel, or embark on an adventure, exploring Copenhagen’s rich tapestry of parks and museums on bike.

Treehouse Sunnyvale in California is the brand’s first U.S. property and repurposes several existing structures and elevates a new six-story building constructed offsite using modular methods that dramatically reduce environmental impact and waste. The majority of its 254 rooms, including 21 suites, provide private outdoor spaces, from ground floor patios to balconies and terraces on the upper floors. Interiors, including soft sofas built into rough-hewn wooden bookcases, farm table distressed wooden desks and wood ceiling beams, colorful pillows and quirky quilts, collectively convey the childlike wonder of taking refuge in a figurative “treehouse,” looking down at the real world below.

From hand-crafted accents, secret nooks, playful angles, hammocks and hideaways and surprisingly placed lookouts, every element of the adaptive reuse project deliberately blurs the boundaries between inside and out. The design consciously connects guests and visitors both to the region’s rich agricultural past and the cutting-edge entrepreneurial spirit of modern-day Sunnyvale.

Amenities from a casual café with indoor and outdoor seating, a garden offering games and a buzzy beer garden to a courtyard pool complete with cabanas, hot tub, pizza oven and state-of-the-art fitness facility, have been carefully crafted to bring the fun and adventurous spirit of the Treehouse brand to life. Three meeting rooms inside the hotel complement an expansive event space crafted from a classic tilt-up rustic barn, complete with an outdoor pre-function space flowing into a sweeping lawn that can be tented to accommodate increased capacity. Taking its design cues from the abundant fruit farms and orchards that grew up around Sunnyvale before high-tech firms put down roots, Treehouse Hotel Sunnyvale will offer visitors and guests a perfect place to relax, restore, recollect, and reconnect to all the simple things that once made us smile.

1 Hotel Seattle

In 2025, the former Pan Pacific Hotel will be transformed into 1 Hotel Seattle. Set in the trendsetting South Lake Union neighborhood, the hotel is known for its ideal location—near downtown, the Climate Pledge Arena, and Amazon’s headquarters. The views from the hotel are spectacular, with many of the rooms overlooking Seattle’s famed Space Needle. Throughout the transformation process, the property will continue to welcome guests, offering uninterrupted hospitality amid the evolution into a highly anticipated, nature-inspired sanctuary. When it becomes 1 Hotel Seattle, the reinvented property will fuse sustainable luxury with the restorative power of nature—a trademark of 1 Hotels, the mission-driven hotel brand. Drawing inspiration from the stunning natural surroundings, the 153-room 1 Hotel Seattle will offer an immersive experience that celebrates the region’s unique heritage. Upon entering the grand lobby, guests will be enveloped in a sense of serenity and tranquility, from a living wall of lush greenery to a sculptural stairway fashioned from reclaimed timber and stacked stone.

The culinary experience at 1 Hotel Seattle is set to be another highlight, with a signature destination restaurant offering a menu inspired by the diverse, fresh flavors of the Pacific Northwest. 1 Hotel Seattle will also feature a range of wellness-focused amenities designed to rejuvenate the body and nourish the soul, including a light-filled fitness center equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.

The rooms and suites will undergo a comprehensive transformation, offering guests a renewed sense of luxury and comfort. Each space will be thoughtfully designed to reflect the hotel’s commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship, featuring reclaimed wood finishes, stone-clad millwork, custom live-edge furniture, and moss art pieces. Along the corridors, guests will encounter a sense of rustic elegance with carefully curated plantings showcasing the beauty of the region’s forests.

Above all, 1 Hotel Seattle will be a destination where guests can immerse themselves in the natural beauty and cultural richness of the Pacific Northwest while enjoying the highest standards of comfort, luxury, and sustainability.
