SAN DIEGO—HD Supply Facilities Maintenance has been recognized by lighting manufacturer Philips Lighting Company for achieving the highest status in Philips’ Green Leadership Program. The company earned the award for its commitment to sustainability in these five key areas: marketing, merchandising, training, selling and recycling.
Philips Lighting’s Green Leadership Program recognized HD Supply Facilities Maintenance for demonstrating an outstanding commitment to driving environmentally-responsible, sustainable business through their business practices as well as the products and solutions they offer to their customers. The company’s award winning green leadership initiatives include the launch of its sustainability program, ideallygreen, and extensive sales force training in sustainable lighting solutions.

In 2008, HD Supply Facilities Maintenance, in partnership with Philips Lighting, provided energy efficient lighting products to its customers, in multifamily, healthcare, hospitality, government and commercial markets, that enabled them to reduce their overall carbon footprint by 73,172,262 pounds, or 35,586 tons, the equivalent of removing 7,185 cars off the road.
