HILLSBORO, ORE.—Caroma, a leader in water-saving dual flush technology, announced that it now has 34 products sporting the EPA’s WaterSense label, the most approved product of any brand doing business in North America. The WaterSense label ensures that a toilet uses 20 percent less water than the currently mandated 1.6 gallons per flush (gpf) toilets, and is a quality product that also has met rigorous testing requirements for performance.

In addition to being the leading resource for WaterSense product, Caroma offers the largest selection of high efficiency toilets (HETs) in the marketplace. All of Caroma’s 34 WaterSense approved models are dual flush models, the only type Caroma manufactures. Caroma was the first to commercialize development and production of dual flush toilets nearly 25 years ago and has been perfecting the technology ever since. A Caroma dual flush toilet can save a household as much as 30,000 gallons of water a year.

WaterSense is sponsored by the EPA and is designed to protect the water supply by promoting water-efficient products and services. Much like Energy Star has become a symbol for energy efficiency through its labeling program, it is expected WaterSense will encourage water-conservation behaviors and provide assurance to consumers that they are buying an efficient and high-performing product. The testing for WaterSense certification is done by an independent third party. For a complete list of the Caroma WaterSense approved toilets, visit www.caromausa.com.
