SPRINGFIELD, MO.—Hilton Garden Inn announced the opening of the 125-room Hilton Garden Inn Springfield, Mo., representing an addition to the brand’s growing portfolio of more than 500 hotels worldwide. The Hilton Garden Inn Springfield is managed by O’Reilly Hospitality Management, LLC of Springfield, Mo., and is the first hotel in Missouri to be designed to meet LEED Gold standards, while being just the second Hilton Garden Inn in the country to meet these standards. Some of the sustainability features include a geothermal HVAC system in the pavilion and meeting areas, a salt water swimming pool, solar electrical system, full recycling and waste food composting system, and a public “green” building education program, just to name a few.

“We are very excited to be the first hotel in Missouri designed to meet LEED Gold standards, and to bring a real sustainability message and awareness to southwest Missouri,” said Michael Sorrell, the hotel’s general manager. “Our proximity to a number of corporations and businesses, as well as many local attractions—including the Nature Center, Springfield Family YMCA, and the Battlefield Mall—make us a great hotel option for business and leisure travelers to Springfield.”

The hotel features the brand’s signature Garden Sleep System bed—a bed providing self-adjusting, pressure-free support. The hotel also features an ergonomic Mirra desk chair by Herman Miller; a spacious and clutter-free work desk; and two speaker telephones equipped with data ports and voice mail. Guests will also benefit from the complimentary 24-hour business center, featuring Print Spots remote printing, which allows wireless printing from any laptop or PDA.

Cooked-to-order Breakfast

Guests can start off their day with a full-cooked-to-order breakfast featuring omelets, fruit, breads and the brand’s signature waffle in the Pavilion Grill restaurant. The restaurant also serves cocktails and dinner, as well as evening room service. The Pavilion Pantry is open 24 hours and features a complete selection of salty snacks, sweet treats, cold beverages as well as freshly prepared, frozen and microwaveable packaged items.

Other hotel amenities include: a glass-enclosed Pavilion lobby featuring a comfortable lounge area with a television and fireplace; an easy-to-set alarm clock that allows guests to play their portable CD or MP3 player; 32” flat screen HDTVs in every room; an in-room “hospitality center” with a mini fridge, microwave oven and coffee maker; a sitting area with an easy chair and ottoman; a hairdryer; and an iron and ironing board.

The hotel’s recreational facilities consist of a fitness center with state-of-the-art cardiovascular and strength training equipment, as well as an indoor swimming pool. Guests can also work out in the comfort of their own rooms by checking out a complimentary Stay Fit Kit from the front desk. The kit offers an isometric and core body workout by accommodating three areas of training: Yoga, Pilates and Core, and features a Pilates band; Yoga mat, straps and brick; an 8 lb. abs ball, 3 lb. hand weights and a resistance rope.

The hotel also features more than 3,500 square feet of meeting space, with onsite catering.
