CALHOUN, GA.—Mannington Commercial, a leader in commercial flooring, announces the launch of the 2012 NeoCon Gold-award winning Vivendi Collection of broadloom and modular carpet. A new direction in performance flooring, the collection was designed in collaboration with HOK Product Design to elevate healthcare, retail, corporate and education spaces into new design territory.

Inspired by striated artisan tile and fractal geometrics with an organic twist, the three patterns in the collection—Montage, Teres and Circ—create a warm, modern, and luxurious aesthetic. The carpet collection was developed as part of a coordinating, cross-platform family of products that includes privacy curtains from Pallas Textiles and Vivendi resilient sheet from Mannington, which won a 2011 Best of NeoCon Gold award and a 2011 Nightingale Award Honorable Mention.

As a rethink of a category where very little new thinking has come to the floor in recent years, the collections build upon trends of “luxury,” “healthy,” and “calm” to create a modern, sophisticated aesthetic with exceptional durability and performance.

Protected Against Spotting, Stains

Designed to perform with low maintenance and high durability, Vivendi carpet features Mannington’s XGUARD stain-defying technology that gives protection against spotting and stains, and ColorSafe bleach-resistant technology to help maintain carpet’s appearance for years, even under tough cleaning conditions.

As with all Mannington products, Seam+Advantage chemical welding provides seamless transitions, eliminating the need for transition strips between carpet, resilient flooring and LVT. Providing lateral seam strength with lower profiles, Seam+Advantage creates optimum mobility for heavy rolling loads and for safer foot traffic, as well as helping to control the spread of infectious bacteria that often hide behind transition strips.

The carpet comes backed with Integra HP and Infinity Modular high performance broadloom backings, each certified as an Environmentally Preferable Product to the NSF/ANSI-140 Gold standard. It is also available on rEvolve, Mannington’s thermoplastic polyolefin modular backing system, which contains 40 percent recycled content (10 percent post consumer) and is certified NSF/ANSI-140 Platinum.
