SEATTLE—Hightower has launched two new Hightower Studio collections: Modo Pouf with Table, a mobile seating solution designed for choice and movement, and Silo Power, a freestanding power solution that puts charging where people are. Both reflect Hightower’s thoughtful Considered Solutions approach to design, created with intention for how all people and spaces function day-to-day.

Modo Pouf with Table combines seating and surface in a single form—a practical, adaptable alternative to traditional task setups. Designed and manufactured in High Point, N.C., it works across classrooms, libraries, corporate settings, and healthcare environments without requiring rethinking or rearranging. Modo Pouf with Table enhances the sustainability story of any space where it is used; it is Red List Free, Indoor Advantage Gold Certified, and contains pre- and post-consumer recycled content, thus contributing to both the LEED Low-Emitting Materials Credit and the WELL Building Standard. Plus, with a 10-year warranty, Modo Pouf with Table is a furniture selection that will withstand the test of time.

Models with freewheeling casters allow easy movement between people and activities. Glide-based versions offer more stability where that’s preferred. Modo Pouf with Table supports a range of postures and body types without requiring users to relocate, and an integrated bag hook keeps personal items off the floor. A wide range of finishes and upholstery options lets it fit quietly into a space or make a stronger design statement, depending on the context.

“Modo is intentionally undefined,” explained the Hightower Studio Design Team. “It’s a product that works however you need it to in that moment—no instruction manual, just a piece that invites curiosity, movement, and delight.”

Furniture-like, with Design Capabilities

In most shared spaces, power is hidden under tables, tucked along walls, or treated as a purely technical problem. Silo changes that. Designed by the Hightower Studio team, it brings power out into the open—accessible, visible, and integrated into the space rather than added to it. Despite Silo being a utility as a freestanding floor power unit, the design team has modeled it in a way that is much more furniture-like, with design capabilities that allow designers to be creative with Silo’s colors, textures, and patterns.

“Initially, Silo was conceived as sort of a universal design solution to bring power up to the tabletop to where people are so that users with different abilities would be able to utilize it,” explained Shawn Sowers, Hightower’s VP of Design. “But because of its design, Silo also serves as a sort of beacon and a form of wayfinding. For instance, if it is on a campus but in a different building, Silo in a different color upholstery could serve as a way of denoting which floor you’re on. For example, the third floor is all green, and the second floor is all yellow. A designer can really bring in creativity with Silo, which also serves an important function as a power source.”

Silo is available in 24” and 36” heights, fitting comfortably alongside lounge seating or workstations. Options include single- or dual-sided power, wireless charging, and extended cord length for flexible placement. Thoughtful base options manage cords and adapt to different power sources. Front-access USB A and C ports make for an easy charging experience—no more looking around to find where you plug in. Upholstery and wood finishes let designers carry the material language of a space into what is typically a purely functional element. Silo is domestically produced and backed by a 10-year warranty. Like Modo Pouf with Table, Silo is Indoor Advantage Gold Certified and contains pre- and post-consumer recycled content, which contributes to the LEED Low-Emitting Materials Credit and the WELL Building Standard.

“At its core, Silo is about access,” Sowers concluded. “We wanted to bring power to where people naturally are—easier to reach, more intuitive to use, and more inclusive in the way it supports everyday life.”

Modo Pouf and Silo Power are available now. Both collections reflect Hightower’s Considered Solutions commitment, bringing together thoughtful design, lasting quality, and real-world impact.
