SANTA MONICA, CALIF.—Shore Hotel announces a new eco-voluntourism program as part of its Green Concierge service. The eco-voluntourism program, available beginning September 17, brings an added sense of well-being to guests’ vacations. With a variety of volunteer activities to choose from, guests will have the opportunity to better the local community while working with organizations that share the hotel’s strong commitment to the environment and surrounding communities.
Volunteer excursions with Heal the Bay, a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring Santa Monica Bay, offer guests the experience to participate in a self-guided beach cleanup ending with a VIP tour of the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium, located on the famed Santa Monica Pier. Shore Hotel’s charitable partner, Sea•thos Foundation, is welcoming guests into their corporate offices in Venice, to assist with programming tasks, while learning about the organization’s mission to promote education and awareness of the human impact on the world’s oceans. An educational beach cleanup with the Sea•thos Foundation will give guests an eye-opening glimpse at how the organization is making changes in the local community and the world while spending the afternoon bettering Venice beaches. Additionally, the Green Concierge can provide in-depth knowledge of local nonprofit organizations, should guests wish to explore other volunteer opportunities.
With the creation of the eco-voluntourism program, Shore Hotel has taken their commitment to providing guests outstanding service and environmentally conscious amenities to the next level. Guests who volunteer during their stay at Shore Hotel will receive added incentives including cocktails by the Shore Hotel pool and patio and a Sea•thos Foundation swag bag with a variety of environmental amenities. Shore Hotel will also donate $10 per day of guests’ volunteer efforts to Sea•thos Foundation.
