ORLANDO, FLA.—The NAFEM Show, an event held every two years to showcase the latest foodservice equipment innovations, including those innovations focused on energy and water conservation, is slated for February 9 to 11 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. This year’s event will feature more than 500 exhibit booths and a WHAT’S HOT! WHAT’S COOL! product gallery (booth 1840). Featured in the gallery will be equipment in every category that provides major energy savings, holding equipment that can maintain temperatures for longer periods of time with lower energy use—or no utility hookup at all; ventilation systems that filter and recycle air and heat; green servingware options; and water-saving technologies—seen in everything from warewashing equipment to dipper wells.

New this year to the WHAT’S HOT! WHAT’S COOL! product gallery is the Inspiration Station—a series of four discussions designed to generate conversation around the latest equipment and supplies trends. The series will be led by Mike Colburn and Mary Esther Treat, founders of product design firm Ideas Well Done. As independent experts, Mike and Mary Esther will weigh in on some of the things they’ve seen on display in the gallery—and encourage questions and comments from the audience. Inspiration Station discussions will take place February 10 and 11, from 11 to 11:30 a.m. and 2 to 2:30 p.m.
