MOONACHIE, N.J.—BULBRITE has received a Platinum ADEX award for its 2012 EISA-compliant Halogen A19 lamp, an energy-efficient lamp designed to comply with the 2012 Energy Independence and Security Act that is scheduled to take effect January 1.

The upcoming legislation requires general service light bulbs to operate up to 30 percent more efficient than current standards require. The Eco-friendly Halogen A19 was introduced 20 months in advance, to help lighting distributors, specifiers and other professionals prepare for the lamp changes.

“Our EISA-compliant lamp has received a strong response from the industry,” explained Cathy Choi, president of BULBRITE “ADEX recognizes our technological advancements while highlighting the tremendous need to upgrade standard light bulbs by year’s end.”

The Halogen A19, which fits all standard and dimmable lighting fixtures, provides consumers with the benefits of higher efficiency and superior quality without having to convert to CFLs or LEDs. The lamp is available in four different styles, all of which use significantly less energy than standard incandescents. The 29-watt is equivalent in lumen output to the 40-watt incandescent; the 43-watt is comparable to a 60-watt incandescent; the 53-watt is equivalent to the 75-watt incandescent; and the 72-watt is comparable to a 100-watt incandescent. These styles can be used with chandeliers, outdoor and security lighting, ceiling pendants, recessed downlights, table and floor lamps, and wall sconces.

The Halogen A19 is available in clear and soft white finishes, for use on a 120-volt lighting system. Each bulb has a life of 1,000 hours and a lumen output ranging from 380 to 1490 lumens.
