NEW HYDE PARK, N.Y.—Evolve Guest Controls announced a fundamental commitment to protect the environment by becoming an Energy Star Partner. Evolve’s voluntary partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star program means that it will be working toward helping its clients improve the energy efficiency and performance of their properties.

“We believe that an organization-wide energy management approach will help our clients enhance their financial health and aid in preserving the environment for future generations,” says Len Horowitz, president. “Evolve is very excited to be named an Energy Star Partner. This recognition underscores Evolve’s commitment to saving the planet and helping the hotel industry be more energy conscious.”

In partnership with Energy Star, Evolve Guest Controls’ goal is to:

• Make guestrooms more energy efficient;
• Encourage its clients to set a goal to improve the energy efficiency of their buildings by 30 percent or more, in support of the Energy Star Challenge;
• Encourage its staff and community to learn about the benefits of energy efficiency and to implement appropriate energy efficiency measures;
• Encourage other hotel industry companies with which it works to join Energy Star and take the Energy Star Challenge.

“By helping our clients to reduce their energy consumption by 30 percent, Evolve can save hundreds of thousands of dollars and millions of Kwh each year—the equivalent energy required to power thousands of American homes,” Horowitz says. “This will also reduce air pollution by preventing millions of pounds of carbon dioxide from being released into the atmosphere—the equivalent of removing thousands of vehicles from the road.”
