ROSWELL, GA.—Dectron Inc., a leading international manufacturer of indoor air quality equipment, introduces the DRY-O-TRON DSV Series, an energy-efficient dehumidifier designed for light commercial and residential indoor pool and spa areas.
Besides Dectron’s signature feature of heat recovery for free pool water heating, the new DSV Series includes green features such as a variable frequency drive (VFD) controlled plenum fans, optional electronically-commutated motors (ECM), micro channel condensing coils, and the energy-saving Supervisaire controller. Additionally, DSV offers engineers and contractors a choice of three environmentally-friendly refrigerants: R-134a, R-407C or R-410A.
“The new DSV is state-of-the-art energy efficiency and total designer indoor air quality with no equal in the dehumidification industry,” said Harry Topikian, vice president business development at Dectron Inc.’s parent company, Dectron Internationale.
The combination of ECM or VFD with direct drive plenum fans is 12 to 14 percent more efficient than fans using conventional belt driven drives. The DSV offers an optional micro channel outdoor condenser that requires 60 percent less refrigerant, plus night setback and load shedding demand controlling features. Additionally, Dectron’s proprietary microprocessor-based controller and diagnostics monitor—the Supervisaire—continually reviews 28 sensing points to optimize energy savings with the quickest response time.
Requires Small Footprint
Besides energy savings, the DSV’s space saving vertical configuration has a 60 percent smaller footprint requirement than horizontal counterparts and offers up to 10 field-selectable air discharge locations as well as mirror image options for optimum field installation flexibility.
