GLEN ALLEN, VA.—Just in time for Earth Day, the Wyndham Virginia Crossings Hotel & Conference Center will share a different kind of “green” with its guests traveling in hybrid and electric vehicles. With its new “Go Green, Get Green” package, guests who arrive at the Wyndham Virginia Crossings Hotel in a hybrid vehicle and stay for two nights or more through September 1, 2011, will receive a $25 Visa gift card.
The Go Green, Get Green package includes deluxe, overnight king- or double-bedded accommodations, a $25 Visa gift card, and wireless high-speed Internet access. The package is based on qualifying rates and starts at $99 per night with a minimum two-night stay required. The Visa gift card will be presented to guests at time of check-out and after the hybrid vehicle has been verified by the property. Reservations must be made by August 31, 2011 and stays completed by September 1, 2011.

Virginia Green Lodging is a self-certifying program that promotes pollution prevention practices in the hospitality and lodging sector. Virginia Green Lodging encourages hotels, resorts, bed and breakfasts, inns, cabin operations and other lodging facilities to be aware of their impacts on the environment and to take steps to reduce these impacts. The program provides guidance and resources on pollution prevention techniques that have been used in the hospitality industry and proven to reduce impacts and, many times, to save money.
