DALTON, GA.—Tandus Centiva, a Tarkett Company, has been Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver (v3) for its ethos modular soft surface products from the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute. The Cradle to Cradle design principles provide for continual improvement and innovation around the economic, environmental and social issues of design and use of products. The purpose of the product certification program is to improve the way we design, make, use and reuse products.
Tandus Centiva’s ethos is a backing option for Tandus Centiva modular soft surface product platforms. It was developed in 2010 from recycled PVB, which is an abundantly available waste film from postconsumer windshields and safety glass. As a Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver (v3) product, ethos modular will now contribute to LEED v4 MR credit 4 options 1 and 2 for material disclosure and optimization.
Tandus Centiva is the first American modular carpet manufacturer to be certified at the Silver level to version 3 of the C2C standard. Focusing on sustainability through innovation, differentiation and circular closed loop design, Tarkett now has Cradle to Cradle certifications for its linoleum, wood, rubber, soft surface and artificial turf solutions.
