CORTLAND, N.Y.—Hope Lake Holdings, LLC has received a congratulatory letter from the President, CEO & Founding Chairman of the U.S. Green Building Council, S. Richard Fedrizzi, on earning LEED, or Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, certification on Hope Lake Lodge & Convention Center. The project has achieved LEED Certification under the LEED for New Construction Rating System.

“LEED certification identifies Hope Lake Lodge & Convention Center as a showcase example of sustainable design and demonstrates leadership in transforming the building industry,” Fedrizzi said. “In honor of this impressive achievement and in appreciation of Greek Peak’s participation in LEED, certificates recognizing the accomplishment were awarded.”

As an internationally recognized mark of excellence, LEED provides building owners and operators with a framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions. LEED certification provides independent, third party verification that a building home or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at achieving high performance in key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiencies, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.

The resort is building the only double black diamond glades run in Central New York. “Labyrinth” is located between Hercules and Trojan. Additionally, Greek Peak Mountain Resort operates an Adventure Center with a Mountain Coaster and four tandem zip lines operating year round and a 10 lane winter snow-tubing center. Hope Lake Lodge & the Acropolis Convention Center can accommodate groups with up to 1,000 attendees.

The four season resort is located in New York’s scenic Fingerlakes Region. Amenities include three restaurants, a world-class customized spa, fitness center, and a 41,000 square foot indoor waterpark. The resort is positioned within 7,000 acres of State protected land that is accessible by all residents and guests for cross country skiing, hiking, snowshoing, and horseback riding.
