FRANKLIN PARK, ILL.—Sloan Valve Company recently released a hardwire version of its popular electronic Sloan ECOS dual-flush Flushometer, which uses 30 percent less water when its reduced flush cycle is activated.

The six-volt AC-powered Sloan ECOS features two manual “courtesy flush” buttons on top of the valve, which offer restroom users two water-efficient flush options: push the small green button for a reduced flush of 1.1 gallons of water for liquids, or push the large chrome button to initiate a full flush of 1.6 gallons per flush to remove solids.

If the user does not depress a button, the Flushometer’s Smart Sense Technology takes over and automatically initiates a flush cycle, based on how long the user remains in the sensor range. Users who stay within the sensor range less than a minute activate the reduced flush; users who stay longer activate the full flush. Sensor technology eliminates false flushing to further ensure the water efficiency of the product.

Each Sloan ECOS Flushometer comes with two etched metal instruction plates for placement near the Flushometer. The Flushometer is available in three special finishes: Polished Brass and Brushed Nickel, which feature the long-lasting PVD coating, and Satin Chrome.
