CAMBRIDGE, MASS.—Zagster, a company that provides bikes as a service, announced it has partnered with the Hyatt Regency Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing to offer bike sharing services to guests. Hotel guests can reserve and ride comfortable, city-friendly cruiser bikes, giving them a healthy, convenient and fun way to explore the area, visit friends or attend business meetings.

“In today’s congested cities, it’s increasingly easier, less expensive and more fun to get out and see the sights or attend meetings on a bike, rather than in a cab or rental car,” said Timothy Ericson, co-founder and CEO of Zagster. “With Zagster at the Hyatt Regency at Penn’s Landing, guests now have more options for personal transportation.”

The service begins with four bikes available on-demand for guests at the hotel for up to a full day’s use. To use Zagster, a guest simply signs a waiver at the front desk and is assigned a bike from available inventory. The bikes come with their own locking system, enabling riders to park them wherever they want throughout the ride.

A Fun, Convenient Way to Travel

“We’re constantly looking for new amenities to meet the needs of our guests, and Zagster is a perfect fit for today’s health and sustainability-conscious traveler,” said Hyatt Regency Philadelphia general manager Mike Costello. “As the weather turns warmer and thousands of people flock to Philadelphia to experience our city’s rich historical landmarks, our guests will have a new, fun and convenient way to get around town.”

Icons of the United States’ history are located a short ride from the hotel, including: the Liberty Bell Center, Independence Hall, the Betsy Ross House, National Constitution Center and Old City Philadelphia. With Zagster, guests can take in all the sites from the comfort of their bikes, while avoiding the hassles of finding a parking spot or hailing a cab.

Zagster is developing a national footprint of bike sharing programs in partnership with real estate/apartment companies, businesses, hotel chains and universities, all of which are looking to provide value added services and benefits to tenants, guests or employees.
