Heat Transfer Unveils New Line of Solar Water Heaters

EAST FREETOWN, MASS.—Heat Transfer recently unveiled the SuperStor Contender Solar, a new line of glass lined indirect water heaters, designed specifically for solar thermal applications. The new units store hot water from one or more solar collectors while also providing either electric or boiler backup for when the available solar power cannot meet hot-water demand. Dickinson College Receives $5,000 Grant from Hobart Center for Foodservice Sustainability

CHICAGO—The Hobart Center for Foodservice Sustainability (HCFS) awarded Dickinson College a $5,000 grant for having the most innovative and best-executed foodservice sustainability project of the year. Dickinson College, a liberal arts college in Carlisle, Pa., was judged as having the best sustainability program from among numerous entrants nationwide, which included educational institutions, foodservice establishments and healthcare facilities.
