WEST BLOOMFIELD, MICH.—Signature Crypton Carpet, a brand that weaves together Crypton’s stain, liquid and odor-causing bacteria resistant fabrics and the design expertise of Signature Carpets, announces their latest venture in sustainable living and environmental preservation—the Yellowstone Collection.
Signature Crypton Carpet has collaborated with the Yellow Stone Park Foundation, taking on all of the park’s discarded plastic bottles and turning them into carpet backings. This new line, known as the “Yellowstone Collection” will invest 50 cents of every square yard sold through it’s P2 program, back to The Yellowstone Park Foundation, to help preserve and protect one of America’s most pristine natural resources.
“We take 43 tons of plastics out of the park each year,” said John McIntosh, vice president of sales of Signature Crypton Carpet. “We are doing more than preserving the environment. We are preserving American goods and services.”
Incorporates Soybean-based Oils
Last year, Crypton partnered with Signature Carpets to create Signature Crypton Carpet, which employs American soybean-based oils, as well as 100 percent recycled content nylon, to create a product that is 82 percent green by weight. The brand’s collaboration with the Yellowstone Park Foundation now allows them to expand those efforts onto the American frontier.
“Our partnership with Signature Carpets has given us an ample entry into the commercial carpeting sector, and has reaffirmed our green initiative,” said Randy Rubin, co-founder of Crypton. “These are high-performance, high-fashion and highly-sustainable carpets. It wholly represents our ‘live clean’ message, from the ground up.”
In collaboration with Aquafil USA, a premium carpet fibers company, and Universal Textile Technologies, The Yellowstone Collection is now available in five styles: Caldera, Old Faithful, Paint Pots, Grant Village and Artist Point. Each of these features organic designs that capture the natural beauty and mystique of Yellowstone’s venerable landmarks.
