SAN DIEGO—Kirei, a provider of innovative, sustainable acoustic design materials for commercial interiors, introduces two new additions to the Lit Collection: the Tessellate Pendant and Tessellate Cloud. Expanding the collection’s integrated approach to acoustics and lighting, both designs translate bold, faceted geometry into high-performance ceiling solutions that balance visual clarity with acoustic control.

Defined by triangulated surfaces, the Tessellate forms increase acoustic surface area while maintaining a clean, refined assembly. The result is a system that supports both performance and design intent without adding complexity to specification.

The Tessellate Pendant brings this geometry into a vertical format, offering a strong yet refined presence. Suspended individually, arranged in linear sequences, or clustered at varying heights, it creates rhythm and layering within a space. Available in three standard sizes, it can be specified with or without integrated lighting to suit a range of applications.

A Ceiling-Mounted Acoustic Feature

The Tessellate Cloud translates the same faceted geometry overhead, functioning as a ceiling-mounted acoustic feature that defines zones and anchors gathering spaces. It can be installed individually or repeated across larger ceilings for a cohesive visual field. Available in one size, the Cloud offers two lighting configurations: direct, or direct and indirect, with the option to specify without lighting when illumination is not required.

Both products are available in over 40 through-panel colors and are compatible with Kirei Ink, enabling custom graphics, patterns, and natural textures across forms. Made from recycled PET with at least 60 percent post-consumer content, the designs support material transparency through published HPDs and EPDs and contribute to LEED and WELL building standards.

As part of the Lit Collection, the Tessellate Pendant and Cloud reflect a broader shift toward integrated ceiling systems that bring together acoustics and lighting in a unified approach, supporting designers in creating spaces that perform as well as they look.
