NAPLES, FLA.—Winning Brands Corp. announced that its new KIND Laundry Products line has been approved for listing and distribution through PRO Group Inc., America’s largest independent hardlines group. The mechanism of this approval is the addition of KIND Laundry Products to PRO Group’s ExtraNet Access system for its 40 participating distributors who supply thousands of independent retailers and utilize the ExtraNet system for product ordering purposes.
The listing will become operational with Winning Brands’ imminent initial manufacturing of KIND Laundry Detergent, KIND Fabric Softener, and KIND Laundry Stain Remover in sufficient quantities to supply national demand. This production will take place at the Grand Rapids, Mich., facilities of Surefil, LLC.
The announcement was made at the Val-Test Annual Buying Show in Naples, Fla., a trade event which brings together approved vendors and member distributors—this year including participation by PRO Group. Voting by attendees placed KIND Laundry Products within two ballots of taking the No. 1 spot for the most appreciated new product of the 2008 show.
Winning Brands’ ability to innovate in the category of domestic laundry products comes in part from its experience with professional garment care through its SMART Wet Cleaning System initiatives. SMART Wet Cleaning Solutions are used with professional wet cleaning machines to replace the controversial solvent Perchloroethylene, used by a majority of America’s dry cleaners.
The development is significant for Winning Brands because the widespread distribution of KIND Laundry Products will provide a meaningful new source of revenue in 2008 to bolster the company’s earlier launch of its Winning Colours Stain Remover. Winning Colours is an environmentally oriented solvent alternative that is gentle on skin despite its stain removing performance.
