INCLINE VILLAGE, NEVADA—Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino, the only full-service waterfront resort in North Lake Tahoe, has received CovidClean Certification from Safehotels, a world-leading hotel safety and security certification company. Based on World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, the CovidClean Certification verifies key standards of cleaning, hygiene, social distancing, and on-site resources, training, and awareness for hotels during the pandemic.

To receive CovidClean Certification, Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe was assessed on 116 individual components based on Safehotels standards. The components are arranged in several areas of focus including plans and procedures, preventative actions, training and awareness, cleaning and hygiene, hotel operations, COVID-19 communications, and more. The resort took part in an on-site audit with a representative from Safehotels. During the audit, the representative conducted a full assessment of the resort’s safety protocols and asked a variety of questions to all employees to verify the entire team was aware of the safety standards, not just the safety and management teams.
