DENVER—There is a new-tech look for guests at many hotels and resorts across the country as occupancy rates approach pre-pandemic levels in many markets. Contactless, remote check-ins and check-outs and keyless room entry are part of a new guest experience as properties turn to “touchless” technologies.

Now, they can add new-tech, touchless drinking water to the list of core technology improvements, as properties turn to the latest in guest amenities and employee safety to meet new, pandemic-driven guest expectations. Since the CDC called for the removal of high-touch, communal touch points, such as communal water fountains, because of COVID, FloWater has been working with hotels, resorts, fitness centers and gyms across the country to replace their communal water dispensers. With new foot pedal technology, FloWater’s already self-sanitizing water refill stations are now completely touchless, making for safer, more sanitary drinking water for guests and employees.

“We have seen explosive demand from hotels and resorts as they look to provide safe and healthy hydration for their guests and employees, while also eliminating plastic waste and toxins, like lead, from their drinking water,” says FloWater CEO and Co-Founder, Rich Razgaitis. “Since we introduced our touch-free technology, we have made it easy for them to replace their old water fountains water and jug dispensers and, at the same time, solve for toxins, heavy metals, microplastics and water taste issues.”

FloWater says that over 6,000 FloWater Refill Stations are now in place nationwide, which have filled over 350 million bottles over the past decade.

Major Brands Adopt System

Hyatt, Marriott and IHG are among the properties across the United States that have made the switch to FloWater. In the process, they have also upgraded the quality, safety, and taste of their drinking water for their health-conscious guests. FloWater’s Advanced Osmosis water purification technology removes up to 99.99 percent of all toxins and contaminants in water, including viruses, bacteria, heavy metals like lead and arsenic, chemicals, and microplastics. The FloWater technology also alkalizes and oxygenates the water and adds electrolytes for better hydration. A carbon coconut filter “finishes” the chilled water for a great taste.

“The switch to FloWater Refill Stations goes beyond a safe, better-tasting and more sanitary water drinking water experience. It also eliminates on average two pounds of plastic waste per guest per day from plastic water bottles. And it means saving many man-hours of labor needed for the daily restocking of rooms with plastic water bottles,” added Razgaitis.

The new-tech FloWater Refill Stations are free-standing and easy to install, connecting to any potable water line within 100 feet, meaning that most hotels can simply replace their old water fountains or jug dispensers in the same location.
