MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA—As the economy begins to recover and U.S. hotel occupancy improves, demand for sustainable solutions is at an all time high. To meet growing demand for its green products, Concept Amenities, a global manufacturer of hotel toiletries, has added three new positions in the United States.

“An estimated 3.5 billion toiletry bottles and caps end up in landfill every year in the U.S. alone,” explains Gary Coward, president of sales for Concept Amenities. “We manufacture our guest amenities with Eco Pure, which allows plastic to biodegrade in landfill within a few years.”

Coward clarifies the new appointments were essential, and experience was key, as hoteliers seek to enhance the guestroom experience and contribute to their green initiatives by incorporating environmentally responsible products; escalating demand for biodegradable amenities.

Kelley Named National Accounts Manager

Michael Kelley has been named national accounts manager. Based in Chicago, Kelley brings more than 20 years of distribution experience—and six years serving the hospitality industry specifically—to his position. A graduate of Winona State University and Trinity International University, Kelley began his career as a sales representative for Grainger Industrial Supply.

Kelley cultivated his hospitality expertise as a national account manager for American Hotel Register Company—a leading distributor of hotel supplies—where he was responsible for managing corporate relationships that included Carlson, AmericInn and other hotel brands and management groups. Kelley’s responsibilities include developing guest amenity programs for national hotel chains, as well as independent hotels and resorts throughout the Midwest and Canada.

Kelly McGuire has been named East Coast sales and special accounts manager. A graduate of Binghamton University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, McGuire is a 15-year veteran in the hospitality industry. McGuire discovered her passion for personal care amenities while working as a distribution manager and national accounts director for U.S.-based Marietta Corp.

McGuire Based in New York

Based in New York, McGuire’s primary responsibility in her new position is to support Concept Amenities’ working with both new and existing distribution partners and hotel properties throughout the East Coast region.

Darleen DeLisle has been named vice president of marketing and communications for North America and Europe. Based in Hollywood, Fla., DeLisle, who has served as Concept Amenities’ East Coast sales manager since May 2007, brings a wealth of marketing experience to her new executive position, having managed advertising, promotional and public relations campaigns for firms as diverse as First Marketing Company, Jet Aviation and BABOR Cosmetics.

Complementing her expertise of the hospitality industry, DeLisle is an active member of numerous organizations including the Hospitality Group, Procurement Professionals, The Sales Association, WIN: Women in the Industry, and Hotel Advisory Services Worldwide, among others.
