Callison Hires Sustainability Program Leader to Complete Strategies Team

SEATTLE—Callison announced the hiring of Teresa Burrelsman as its new Sustainability Program Leader. She brings expertise as a former green building consultant to the firm’s Sustainable Strategies Team, whose goal is to meet growing client demand for sustainable design expertise and provide clients with buildings and communities that are environmentally resourceful, sustainably developed and enhance quality of life. Leadership for Callison’s Sustainable Strategies Team includes the following individuals:

Teresa Burrelsman, LEED AP, Sustainability Program leader—As Program Leader, Teresa is responsible for developing sustainable design programs, strategies and business models throughout each of Callison’s markets. Formerly a senior Green Building Consultant at Paladino & Company, Inc., she holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Arizona and is an alumnus of the Sustainable Building Advisor Program. Her technical specialties include concept design, daylighting, lighting, indoor air quality, site and stormwater management, green roofs, team integration and project management.

Mike Scott, LEED AP, Sustainable Design Principal—As Sustainable Design Principal, Mike oversees all sustainable design activities at Callison. He has more than 30 years of experience as a lead designer on many of Callison’s most distinguished projects and specializes in commercial and mixed-use design. Mike’s understanding of sustainable technologies and economics of large complex projects gives him the unique ability to quickly define solutions suited to the client’s goal and budget. Mike holds a Bachelor and Master degree in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin.

Matthias Olt, LEED AP, Sustainable Design Lead—As Sustainable Design Lead, Matthias formalizes, coordinates, facilitates and directs sustainable design as an in-house expert on the most current technologies and principles. Prior to joining Callison in 2005, Matthias worked with firms including Foster and Partners, Anshen+Allen and Perkins+Will. His technical specialties include building envelope, shading, displacement ventilation, natural ventilation, and ground source cooling systems. He is a graduate from the University of Applied Sciences, Frankfurt, Germany. At Callison, Matthias has been the project designer on two international sustainable projects: The Landmark in Hanoi, Vietnam and GS Square at Anyang in Anyang, South Korea.
