EL CAJON, CALIF.—Artflor Inc. announced the release of Enviro Tile, a new product line of environmentally friendly tiles. The tiles are made in sizes 16” x 16” x ½” and 20” x 20” x ¾” and come in five earthen colors: Arctic, Tideland, Greenland, Rainforest, and Volcanic. Custom colors are available upon request.

Artflor’s distinctive manufacturing process allows for unusual textures and multiple inlays of recycled glass and metals. The average recycled content of Artflor Enviro Tile is 34 percent, and packaging uses approximately 80 percent recycled materials. Around 90 percent of raw materials are pulled from local resources and waste is minimal. At the end of its life cycle, Artflor can be recycled into landscape or road base materials. The above qualities and more make Artflor Enviro Tile a contributing product for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects.

Enviro Tile is rated for interior and exterior use, accommodating a new design trend to flow design through exterior/interior transitions. Artflor product is good for commercial, hospitality and residential installations.

“I believe one of the strongest features of this product is Artflor’s ability to be customized for specific projects,” says Tina Anderson, Artflor Inc.’s president. “It’s a bonus to be able to match or coordinate slab countertops, tabletops and custom fabricated pieces such as stair treads, furniture tops, or conference tables with this tile line.”
