Location Ideal for Conference

As home to thousands of hotels and restaurants in major metropolitan areas and their surrounding suburbs, the mid-Atlantic hospitality industry produces thousands of tons of waste each year. Sustain 2016 is designed to gather new ideas for business leaders on recycling, energy saving, sustainability and company strategies moving forward.

“This conference engages multiple conversations with our peers to understand what we can do better,” said Ed Sutor, Dover Downs Hotel & Casino’s President and CEO and chair of Dover Downs’ Conference Working Group. “We want to work and learn with other key decision makers and directors in our area to understand what they’re doing right and how we can further our mission of being great stewards of the environment and community that supports us.”

“Because sustainability’s efficacy relies on successful capacity building, we are directing our attention to developing community capacity building,” says Evadne Giannini, Principal, HospitalityGreen. “Industry leaders will be convening to tackle issues of sustainability, energy savings, recycling, and company governance. Sustain 2016 will bring together forward thinking innovators in culture, marketing and sustainability for two days of idea sharing and learning.”
