SPOKANE, WASH.—Ecova, a leading energy and sustainability management company, has been selected by Summit Hotel Properties, Inc. to provide comprehensive energy management strategy and minimize utility costs across 82 hotels with a total of 11,095 guestrooms located in 23 states.

Ecova will provide several energy and expense management services, including expense and data management, energy supply management, historical facility energy use analysis and energy performance reporting. Ecova maintains the largest database of utility data for the hospitality market, which drives robust benchmarking for organizations. Ecova clients leverage this global data to compare multiple sites that were previously evaluated on a location-by-location basis.

“Sustainability matters to the communities surrounding our hotels and to our guests who are increasingly looking to support environmentally conscious businesses,” said Craig Aniszewski, COO of Summit Hotel Properties. “The work we are doing with Ecova will help us reduce consumption. We will be able to view and manage our utility and energy data in one platform, and identify broad trends across our portfolio.”

“Ecova has a rich history in helping hospitality clients so we understand the challenges hoteliers face as they work to improve efficiencies in their high-energy-usage facilities,” said Vincent Manier, Chief Financial Officer of Ecova. “We look forward to providing the insights needed from the company’s vast energy data to achieve a significant reduction.”
