RALEIGH, N.C.—Welcome Holdings, a Cary, N.C.-based real estate and hospitality development and operation group, announces the launch of Revisn—Raleigh. Opening in September 2018 at 615 North Boylan Street in downtown Raleigh, Revisn combines the comforts of luxury apartment living with the services and amenities of a high-end hotel for extended stay guests. Comprised of one and two-bedroom residences with flexible reservation options of 30 days or more, Revisn is tailored to long-term corporate, education and government travel.

“Temporary residence options nationwide, but particularly in the Triangle, have been a hodgepodge of long-lease apartments, hotels more suited for short-term stays, and private residence rentals,” explained Dicky Walia, CEO of Welcome Holdings and creator of the Revisn brand. “Existing options are each a compromise that do not meet all the needs of the corporate or long-term traveler. Revisn is an extended-stay apartment-hotel designed to offer everything this traveler could want or need.”

Residences at Revisn are sized and designed to provide an apartment-like experience. Each residence includes a fully-equipped kitchen, relaxing and entertaining living space, one or more bedrooms with premium bed and linens, and generous bathrooms including luxury appointments and walk-in shower.

Amazon Echo in All Luxury Residences

Revisn includes all the technology that guests increasingly rely on in their own homes. The first hospitality property in North Carolina to offer Amazon Echo in all its luxury residences, guests will be able to open the curtains, turn on the lights, activate TVs, control the temperature in the room, request housekeeping to bring fresh towels, request housekeeping service, or contact the concierge for a list of restaurants— using just their voice and all made possible by AT&T’s Dedicated Internet, a managed fiber service. “We are embracing cutting edge technology to revitalize the guest experience,” commented Rohit Sahay, Chief Product Officer at Revisn.

Even before guests arrive, Revisn’s advanced technology makes guests’ stay effortless. With the Revisn smartphone app, guests check in without the need to visit the front desk. Guests receive their building and residence key electronically directly to their smartphone.

“At Revisn we believe that technology enhances the human element of service rather than replace it,” emphasized Mark Latu, General Manager. “As consumers, we’ve come to expect personalized, on-demand services in all areas of our lives. By integrating smart features that streamline the check-in process and give more control to guests, Revisn is providing an experience that’s stress and hassle free.”

Revisn includes an active lobby with floor-to-ceiling glass one-half story above the street and a rooftop terrace with sweeping views from Cameron Village all the way to Raleigh’s central business district. Its Glenwood South location puts dining, shopping and entertainment options steps from the front door. Revisn’s proximity to business, government and education destinations offer daytime convenience and a short walk from the city’s best evening activities.

“Creating a brand that delivers a great guest experience extends well beyond its visual identity,” said Kenneth Penkowski, Senior Partner at Eletrope, the Raleigh-based brand agency consulting on the Revisn launch. “Everything the guest sees, touches, smells, and even the things they won’t see, like mechanical systems or material sourcing, contribute to our modern, responsive take on that experience.”

Commitment to Renewable Energy

Revisn’s benefits extend beyond Raleigh, making a positive impact on the global environment. As a part of its vision for a technological and responsible future, Welcome Holdings has made a commitment to renewable energy, investing in a large-scale solar photovoltaic system installed by Southern Energy Management of Morrisville, N.C.

Once installed, the solar panels will convert sunlight into direct current (DC) electricity and then into the usable alternating current (AC) electricity powering the hotel. Revisn’s solar installation is comprised of 134 modules angled to maximize sunlight capture on its posterior roof. The system uses net metering, pushing excess generated clean electricity to other users on the electrical grid. Revisn’s on-site solar generation can produce 56,315 kilowatt hours annually, equivalent to 1,086 tree seedlings planted, 92,397 pounds of carbon offset, or 102,722 automobile miles not driven.

“Disruptive technologies in all business sectors are changing the way everyone does business,” said Walia. “Companies that embrace and invest in new technologies today will be industry leaders tomorrow. The hospitality industry may be slower to implement smart tech but at Welcome Holdings, we have recognized this need. We strive to be the industry leader in implementing the latest in technology through the launch of our Revisn brand. We can provide personalized, on-demand services by integrating these smart features.”
