ORLANDO, FLA.—Through the generous support of Pineapple Hospitality and MDRT Foundation, Clean the World is better able to provide hurricane relief in the various affected regions. To assist in Clean the World’s recent hurricane relief effort, Pineapple Hospitality has donated 61,400 bars of new soap.

“After watching the suffering being endured by the victims of Harvey and Irma from the comfort of our dry and air-conditioned homes we were seeking a way to assist,” says Ray Burger, President of Pineapple Hospitality. “We have been impressed with the ongoing efforts of Clean the World over the past few years and we knew they would have the contacts and resources we do not.”

The bars of soap were then used in the production of disaster relief hygiene kits, which have been sent to South Texas, Florida, and the Caribbean. Pineapple Hospitality had a busy and successful summer season. As the process of replenishing supplies came around, they thought of those who could really benefit from receiving a bar of soap.

Assist from Hunter Amenities

“We contacted Hunter Amenities and asked if we could place a large restocking order and add an additional 60,000 bars of Tommy Bahama soap to be used in Hurricane relief efforts,” says Burger. “The soap was shipped to Clean the World in Las Vegas and Orlando for use in disaster relief hygiene kits for those affected by Harvey, Irma, and now Maria.”

The MDRT Foundation is the charitable arm of The Million Dollar Round Table, a membership organization for financial service professionals. The Foundation has a mission to help those who are less fortunate in the communities where their members live and work. Since their founding in 1959, they have provided more than $32 million in grants to organizations in 70 countries, including all 50 States.

Clean the World Foundation was recommended for a grant by one of the members who witnessed Clean the World’s past relief work in Louisiana and wanted to help continue aiding those affected by natural disasters. The MDRT Foundation’s $50,000 contribution will help Clean the World continue its efforts to provide soap and hygiene supplies to those impacted by the recent hurricanes.

With the help of devoted partners, Clean the World Foundation has assembled and distributed over 135,000 relief kits to hurricane victims.
