COWPENS, S.C.—Mermet USA introduces its new T Screen with KOOLBLACK Technology high-performance shade fabrics. T Screen fabrics with KOOLBLACK Technology combine the superior heat reflectivity of a white fabric with the glare control and crisp-view through of a dark-colored fabric.

Designed to provide architects, designers and building owners a leading-edge roller shade fabric that contributes to more comfortable buildings, T Screen with KOOLBLACK Technology provides superior thermal comfort and excellent natural daylighting for window shade applications. This fabric extends Mermet’s collection of advanced roller-shade fabrics.

Key features of T Screen fabrics with KOOLBLACK Technology include:

•    Improved heat reflection with KOOLBLACK Technology infused white fabric;
•    The ability to reflect 63 percent of all solar radiation for superior reduction of solar heat gain;
•    Clear, crisp outward visibility;
•    Maximum glare control for effective daylighting and visual comfort; and
•    Dark side with KOOLBLACK Technology, which blocks up to 93 percent of all visible light to ensure workspace productivity.

Because KOOLBLACK™ Technology is inherent in the fabric, it does not rub off or fade over time.

T Screen with KOOLBLACK Technology fabrics can be used for manual and automated window shade solutions. Available in 3 percent and 5 percent opennesses and five colors, T Screen fabrics with KOOLBLACK Technology enhance shading performance in any application. The fabric has been tested to meet globally recognized performance standards, with ratings available for Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC), Solar Reflectance (Rs), Visible Light Transmittance (Tv), and Openness Factor (OF). Additionally, T Screen with KOOLBLACK Technology is GREENGUARD GOLD certified, bacterial and fungal resistant, and RoHS Compliant.

“T Screen with KOOLBLACK underscores Mermet’s commitment to leadership in design and weaving of performance fabrics,” said Jules Duguay, General Manager for Mermet. “We developed shading fabrics with KOOLBLACK Technology in response to customers’ increasing interest in high-performance shading materials. We anticipate these new fabrics will provide an excellent new option for a variety of shading solutions.”
