ROHNERT PARK, CALIF.—DoubleTree by Hilton Sonoma Wine Country is proud to recognize Jessica Kerns, Banquet Bartender, for achieving the 2017 CEO Light & Warmth Award. This award is the highest honor the company offers and is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate exceptional Team Members and franchisee employees who embody the company’s vision and mission, as well as its values of Hospitality, Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Ownership and Now.

In 2017, nearly 1,000 Team Members from across Hilton’s managed and franchise network from around the world were nominated by their fellow colleagues for demonstrating the Hilton values at work and beyond. The finalists were selected by a committee of representatives from across the company and the 12 winners were chosen by Hilton President and CEO, Christopher J. Nassetta.

“Thank you, thank you,” said Jessica Kerns, Banquet Bartender, DoubleTree by Hilton Sonoma Wine Country. “It’s what we should be doing as human beings. Caring for each other.”

Kerns was nominated for her efforts and accomplishments during the Sonoma County Fire Storm in October 2017.  From an SUV full of donated clothes, to a ballroom full of over $1.5 million in donations, Kerns volunteered her time and gave her heart to helping thousands of people that were affected by the Sonoma County fires. What started out as Jessica and a few friends and family, blossomed into as many as 100 volunteers helping those in need. She worked tirelessly for over a week and changed many lives in the process.
