FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA.—Valley Forge Fabrics was presented with a Merit Award from Interior Design Magazine for being a finalist in the 2009 Best of Year Awards. The finalists and winners were announced on December 3 during a celebration at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City. In the Best of Year Product category, Valley Forge was applauded for the Volumes of Velvet pattern Nixon. This was designed exclusively for Valley Forge by Jonathan Adler.

Best of Year Product Design honorees were selected by interior designers and architects via an online vote October 5 to 11, and winners were determined by a jury of leading architects and designers.

Valley Forge’s Volumes of Velvet Collection debuted in May of this year at the Hospitality & Design Expo in Las Vegas. Developed specifically for hospitality heavy-duty use, the Volumes of Velvet Collection features InCase Crypton Technology. These groupings of plush velvets evoke high-end luxury with a range of solids and geometrics. Signature colors are sophisticated, yet playful and resonate with Jonathan Adler’s well known charm.

“We are honored to have received recognition from Interior Design Magazine and by the voting of the Interior Design and Architectural Design communities,” says Diana Dobin, senior vice president of Valley Forge. “The Best of the Year Awards exemplify the best in product design and we are thrilled to be part of this year’s honors.”
