LOS ANGELES—In recognition of the launch of Hyatt Thrive, a newly introduced global corporate responsibility platform, Hyatt Regency Century Plaza and Andaz West Hollywood recently joined forces to support the local community by engaging in a volunteer day. As part of a Hyatt global volunteer initiative, 35 associates from the Beverly Hills and West Hollywood hotels worked on cleaning up the local beaches from Venice Pier to Santa Monica Pier.

This volunteer day is key tenet of Hyatt Thrive and part of Hyatt’s inaugural global volunteer initiative, which brings Hyatt associates from around the world together in a common effort to volunteer in the communities where they call home.

Hyatt Thrive empowers more than 85,000 Hyatt associates at more than 450 properties around the world to help communities do one thing—thrive—by focusing on four areas: environmental sustainability; economic development and investment; education and personal advancement; and health and wellness.

“We are dedicated to the greater Los Angeles community and our associates are honored to be a part of Hyatt’s global volunteer initiative,” said Michel Morauw, general manager, Andaz West Hollywood. “Hyatt Thrive is a natural extension of Hyatt’s mission, which is to provide authentic hospitality by making a difference in the lives of people we come in contact with every day.”
