NEWBURGH, N.Y.—Hudson Valley Lighting, manufacturer of art-inspired classic, contemporary and transitional lighting fixtures for more than 20 years, has purchased a site that will serve as the company’s new world headquarters in Hudson Valley’s Wappingers Falls, New York in Dutchess County. This was announced by David Littman, Founder and President of Hudson Valley Lighting and Chairman of Littman Brands, a family of decorative and architectural lighting brands that include Hudson Valley Lighting, Corbett Lighting, Troy Lighting and CSL (Creative Systems Lighting).

The new location, 151 Airport Drive, sits on 67 acres of land and occupies more than 261,916 square feet including a 245,000-square-foot industrial warehouse and manufacturing facility and 16,740-square-foot office area. Construction has begun on the existing buildings which, when finished will incorporate green building strategies and practices and LEED certification requirements. Plans include the addition of a high-tech rubber roof that will reduce energy costs by 40 percent, as well as other energy-efficient and sustainable construction implementation.

This site will provide ample space to accommodate the company’s growth and expansion in logistics, warehousing and technological advancements and will house the company’s research and development, product design, fulfillment, warehousing and distribution channels.

Design & Photography Studio Included

Renovations include a redesigned and configured warehouse facility which will house the newest inventory and distribution systems for both Hudson Valley Lighting and Littman Brands’ sister company, SONNEMAN—A Way of Light, including an elaborate rack and storage system for all merchandise fulfillment and products. The warehouse will also serve as the East Coast distribution center for West-Coast based CSL (Creative Systems Lighting). In addition, the new executive headquarters will include a design and photography studio, showroom, complete custom designed business offices, executive suites, conference areas and indoor and outdoor dining areas around the campus. The new state-of-the-art facility is scheduled to be completed in summer 2016. The property allows for 200,000 square feet of additional structures for future expansion.

“I am pleased to announce that Hudson Valley Lighting will remain in the Hudson Valley,” said Hudson Valley Lighting Founder and President David Littman. “Our acquisition of such a substantial property and building structure at 151 Airport Drive will support our growth and development, as well as our commitment to incorporate the latest environmentally conscious technologies—starting with the buildings’ massive renovations. Dutchess County officials also worked very hard to ensure that we maintain our presence in New York State and we are looking forward to establishing our world headquarters in the Dutchess County community.”

The new, expanded Hudson Valley Lighting headquarters is also a continuation of Littman’s commitment to broadening U.S. manufacturing and distribution facilities companywide. In 2011, a dedicated 200,000-square-foot West Coast headquarters which houses research and development, design, production and manufacturing facilities for Corbett Lighting, Troy Lighting and CSL Lighting opened its doors. The new facility is just blocks from its previous site in City of Industry, Calif., and allowed the company to maintain its same staff while increasing jobs in the area.
