ASHEVILLE, N.C.—FIRC Group announces their participation in the Sweet Dreams, Full Plates: Hospitality Feeds Families competition that will put 29 Asheville-area hotels in a bit of friendly competition for a good cause. The contest coincides with National Hunger Action Month. The goal is to see which hotel can raise the most amount of money for the MANNA FoodBank.

MANNA FoodBank works to assist in aiding the people of Western North Carolina who are struggling to find their next meal. According to the MANNA FoodBank, one in six adults and one in four children in Western Carolina face this problem. The Sweet Dreams, Full Plates competition allows the growing tourism industry in the area to give back to their community.

Founder and CEO of FIRC Group and the Haywood Park Hotel, Tony Fraga, explains his excitement to participate in the competition saying, “We love being a part of the Asheville community and are ecstatic about the opportunity to participate in such a great cause. FIRC Group will continue to explore new ways to make our community stronger together.”

Every participating hotel is tracking their weekly fundraising efforts and the winning hotel will be announced on a town billboard. FIRC Group is confident Haywood Park Hotel will be the winner but Fraga says it’s not all about winning.

“As long as every hotel participating does their part, the entire community is the real winner. This contest is what southern hospitality is truly all about.”
