NEW YORK—HD Expo, taking place May 2 to 4 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, announced the 2018 panel lineup for its Social Hub. The heart of the show floor, the Social Hub serves as a platform for attendees and exhibitors to engage in a series of conversations about top-of-mind industry topics. In true hospitality design form, the panels will take place in a beautifully crafted space—think co-working meets greenhouse—by Meyer Davis.

“Each year, the Social Hub is a favorite spot for attendees to listen in on engaging discussions spanning timely issues such as social media and sustainability,” said Stacy Shoemaker Rauen, Editor in Chief of Hospitality Design Magazine. “These panels, plus the other 20 or so conference sessions, leave the audience inspired and with nuggets of information that can help in their everyday work.”

“The Social Hub is a critical space on the show floor for attendees to network, learn, and connect with the hospitality design community,” said Liz Sommerville, Group Show Director of HD Expo.

A few of the Social Hub topics are listed below:

  • Made to Measure: A Sit Down with Will Meyer and Gray Davis, Meyer Davis
  • Social Media and Design
  • The Business of Design
  • NEWH Green Voice Conversations will include: Agritopia: A Farm to Fork Culture; Fitwel: An Amenities Experience; Addressing Sustainability: A Las Vegas Executive Chef Perspective; and A Personal Conversation: UNLV’s Hospitality Design Concentration Coordinator.

In addition to the above, a session entitled, “Redefining Hospitality Through Social Good” will be held.
