TAMPA, FLA.—Hasek Communications, the Tampa, Fla.-based publisher of Green Lodging News, has added a Laundrylux case study to its website. The case study focuses on the Super 8 Ukiah and details owner Raakesh Patel’s decision to go with Electrolux washers with no upfront costs. There are no such costs because Patel opted for Laundrylux’s PLUS (Professional Laundry Utility Service) where he simply uses the equipment as needed and pays only for that usage. PLUS laundering becomes a utility service—just like water, gas, and electricity. Like any utility, one only pays for PLUS when it is used. There is no long-term obligation. There is a lifetime parts and labor warranty and all parts and service are included in the program.

Smart Dosing, an Electrolux Professional innovation that automatically ensures the proper amount of laundry chemicals are added to match the load size, and Electrolux’s unique Automatic Water Savings system ensure significant operational savings. In fact, water consumption can be reduced by up to 50 percent.

“I have a system that accurately and efficiently adds up to great savings in dollars and very importantly, for a low impact on the environment,” Patel said, adding that savings are reflected in lower gas, electric, water, and sewer costs and help reinforce the Energy Star rating for his property.

Patel estimates his laundry savings total 20 to 25 percent.
