Green Generation Solutions Adds Energy Systems Expert

BETHESDA, MD.—Mark Foster, an expert in project management and optimization of energy systems, has joined Green Generation Solutions, LLC (GreenGen), a Washington D.C.-based company experienced in engineering and implementing energy efficiency plans in commercial properties, as Manager, Europe. In this capacity, Foster supports GreenGen’s European operations, providing a full range of bespoke energy, water, and carbon reduction solutions for GreenGen’s commercial property owner clients in Europe.

“Mark is a brilliant addition to our staff in Europe,” said Brad Dockser, CEO, GreenGen. “He brings a wealth of experience as an electrical engineer that will immediately strengthen our Solutions Group. His deep experience in hospitality coupled with his background in implementing energy efficiency projects will be tremendously valuable in assisting our clients with meeting their energy efficiency goals.”

Foster brings over 15 years of engineering, project management, and construction experience with a dedication to sustainable practices and environmental stewardship. Specializing in hospitality and high-occupancy buildings, he leads interdisciplinary teams of engineers and contractors from initial building assessment to ongoing performance monitoring. Foster works to ensure minimal impact to occupant comfort and building operations regardless of the scale or complexity of the effort.

Previously at SOL VISTA

Prior to joining GreenGen, Foster was Vice President of Onsite Solutions at SOL VISTA, where he provided energy assessment, retro commissioning, and owner’s rep construction management services to the owners of upscale hotels, including InterContinental, Starwood Westin, Hyatt, Hilton, Kimpton, Viceroy, and W, as well as select service and extended stay assets. He also co-founded a residential property development firm and served as the VP of Operations for Impact Construction & Consulting.

Foster received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia with a minor in Computer Science. He began his career developing enterprise software systems and data-driven web applications with clients ranging from dot com start-ups to large commercial, nonprofit, and government organizations such as Gannett, AARP, and the State of Maryland.

GreenGen also announced the launch of its newly redesigned website. The URL remains the same (www.greengenerationsolutions.com), and the site is designed to reflect GreenGen’s commitment to its expansion into Europe to reach a broader audience and attract potential companies seeking to lower operating costs through innovative energy efficiency solutions.

With the completion of the rebuild, GreenGen has added new and enhanced content, including a featured area on the home page for up-to-date projects and news items. The website has also been developed to feature a responsive design, adapting its display for optimal viewing on any size/resolution screen, including mobile devices.

GreenGen has significantly modernized its site to accommodate a growing customer base, expanding as the company continues to branch out into new areas with its ongoing development in the United States, as well as in Europe.
