WASHINGTON, D.C.—Green Seal is joining with the Food For Thought Catering Group of Chicago to promote sustainability and its GS-55 Certification for Restaurants and Food Services. “With Food For Thought’s recent growth, we felt it important to expand the presence of GS-55 certification into our overall business messaging,” said Bess Montecalvo, Marketing Manager at Food for Thought. “We want to ensure that our customers know we not only provide quality service and food but produce it in an environment that has a minimal impact on the environment.”

The goal of the partnership between Food for Thought and Green Seal is to enhance Food For Thought’s new branding initiative by highlighting its environmentally responsible food purchasing, operations, and management. Food For Thought has been certified under GS-55 since October 2013.

The partnership was developed through Green Seal’s Client Services Program, which provides tailored marketing support and strategic direction for manufacturers and service providers with, or working toward, Green Seal certification. Green Seal’s objective is to assist current and potential clients in driving increased demand for their Green Seal-certified products and services. Clients are offered consultative assistance that ranges from reviewing and collaborating on marketing plans and strategies to developing sales and marketing collateral for certified products or services.

“Food For Thought is a great model demonstrating creative, proactive use of Green Seal certification to achieve greater sales and market share,” said Mark Stanland, Vice President of Client Services at Green Seal. “We strive to support all Green Seal clients so they may also benefit in the marketplace from having achieved Green Seal certification.”
