NEW YORK—New York-based wellness real estate and technology firm Delos announced that Deborah Wince-Smith, President and CEO of the Council on Competitiveness, has joined its Advisory Board. An internationally renowned voice on innovation strategy, science and technology, Wince-Smith brings decades of invaluable experience working with leading global innovators to Delos, which is merging the world’s largest asset class—real estate—with the world’s fastest growing industry—wellness.

At the Council on Competitiveness, Wince-Smith directs a unique coalition of business, labor and academic leaders who collectively work to put forth actionable public policy solutions to make America more competitive in the global marketplace.

“Deborah has impeccable business and public policy credentials, and it is a sincere honor to announce that she will be joining Delos’ Advisory Board,” said Delos founder and CEO Paul Scialla. “Her appointment further strengthens Delos’ commitment to introduce health and wellness in the built environment on a global scale. We look forward to the invaluable guidance we know she will provide to ensure Delos remains a leading competitor in both the national and international wellness industries.”

Wince-Smith also has 17 years of experience as a senior U.S. government official. Most notably, she served as the nation’s first Senate confirmed Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Technology Policy under the administration of President George H.W. Bush. She also developed President Reagan’s 1988 Competitive Initiative and has held leading positions in the areas of science and technology policy and international economic affairs.

“I am honored to join the distinguished Advisory Board of Delos, a company that epitomizes the transformative power of ‘imagination and innovation’ to create tangible new value in the global marketplace and improve the quality of life around the world,” said Wince-Smith said. “I look forward to working with my Board colleagues, Delos’ visionary founder Paul Scialla, and his talented team of designers and engineers to promulgate the first ever competitive standard for health and wellness in the constructed environment, identify new business growth opportunities, and help build strategic relationships to expand Delos’ leadership in leveraging real estate assets with the burgeoning global health and wellness industry.”
