DURHAM, N.C.—Cree announces the expansion of its award-winning bulb family with the launch of new high lumen directional LED bulbs designed specifically for rooms with high ceilings and for consumers who want more light. The portfolio delivers the brightest flood lights available on the market today with new BR30 100W replacements, as well as R20 75W lamps. The new bulbs uphold Cree’s commitment to offer consumers high quality, no compromise LED bulbs that provide better light experiences for all applications, homes and lifestyles.

As more new homes are built with higher ceilings throughout the United States, people need more light to illuminate the surfaces of their homes. Cree’s new high lumen LED bulbs emit more than twice as much light as typical LED floods, providing consumers the right amount of light for everyday activities, such as cooking, reading and working. The BR30 100W and R20 75W Cree LED Bulbs feature high color rendering index (CRI) light that enhances home décor and makes colors appear true and natural. Each Cree LED bulb is fully dimmable without buzzing or humming, so consumers can adjust light levels to meet their needs and preferences for maximum comfort.

“Until now, consumers have not been able to buy directional LED lights in a wide variety of wattage equivalencies,” said Al Safarikas, Cree Vice President of Marketing, Lamps. “This expansion upholds Cree’s commitment to delivering on the promise and potential of energy-efficient LED lighting solutions. Cree’s new flood lights fill the void created by the disappearance of high wattage incandescent bulbs. Consumers no longer have to compromise on the brightness they need for the efficiency they want.”

Additionally, the BR30 100W Soft White, BR30 100W Daylight and R20 75W Soft White replacement LED bulbs offer the following features and benefits:

  • Designed for high ceilings and for those who want more light;
  • Smooth and silent, fully dimmable;
  • 90 CRI;
  • Projected lifetimes exceeding Energy Star requirements, lasting 25,000 hours or more than 22 years;
