OSHKOSH, WIS.—Continental Girbau Inc. recently recognized two distributors for outstanding on-premise laundry sales and service. Coronet Equipment LTD, in Edmonton, Alberta, received the Canadian Distributor of the Year Award, while Darling’s Sales & Service Co., in Blaine, Minn., earned Continental’s On-premise Laundry Distributor of the Year Award.
Coronet is a full-service distributorship handling Continental on-premise and vended laundry equipment distribution in Saskatchewan and the Northern Canadian territories. Coronet helps evaluate and design on-premise laundries with equipment to meet the specific efficiency, labor and productivity needs of a range of businesses—from commercial and industrial laundries, to laundries at hospitals, hotels, fire departments and vet clinics. The company also works closely with investors to develop profitable vended laundries.

Darling’s Sales & Service Co., which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, has received 10 On-premise Laundry Distributor of the Year Awards since partnering with Continental in 1995. Family owned, the full-service distributorship houses a large parts department and highly trained technical service staff. The company works closely with customers to improve on-premise laundry productivity and efficiency through assistance with financial planning and selection of advanced laundry equipment to slash utilities and energy consumption. Darling’s Sales & Service Co. occupies a 15,000-square-foot facility where employees contribute to a culture focused on exceeding customer expectations, according to Jorgensen. “They were one of the first in the industry to partner with Continental in 1995,” he said. “It’s been a fantastic business partnership based on trust, honesty and good will.
