YOUNTVILLE, CALIF.—The Bardessono, a LEED Platinum certified hotel in Yountville, Calif., has partnered with Lexus, Tesla Motors, and AV Aerovironment to offer guests the option to use electric and hybrid transportation. The hotel has upgraded two of the existing 240 volt, 50 amp receptacles to the most universal adapter on the market, the type II. This type II connector is more convenient to use as it has a 15-foot cord. It will become the EV industry standard—able to accommodate most EV vehicles on the market today. The Bardessono has also announced a new “Hike the Day Away” package.

“We are very pleased to partner with Bardessono on the ‘Hike the Day Away’ package,” says Joel Tranmer, CEO of the Land Trust of Napa County. “Bardessono and the Land Trust of Napa County share a common philosophy of honoring our land and limited resources. We look forward to showing our mutual guests the natural beauty of Napa County through our hikes and field trip programs.”

The Hike the Day Away package includes two annual memberships to the Napa Valley Land Trust and overnight accommodations in a luxury King Spa suite. The Napa Valley Land Trust is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to preserving the character of Napa by permanently protecting its land. In addition to supporting this organization, the membership includes hiking access to land not accessible to the general public. This package encourages guests to get out and enjoy the unparalleled natural beauty right in Bardessono’s backyard.

Bardessono also offers guests the use of two Lexus RX 450 hybrid vehicles for leisure and for shuttle transportation. These new efforts further exemplify Bardessono Hotel’s commitment to luxurious sustainability.
