DENVER—Atmosphere Hospitality Management, which introduced its full service, 180-suite Adoba Eco Hotel & Suites prototype earlier this year, has added a 112-room select service option for developers called Adoba Eco Inn. Every Adoba Eco Inn, like each Adoba Eco Hotel & Suites, will be required to achieve Gold or Platinum certification through the U.S. Green Business Council’s LEED certification process for new construction. The Adoba Eco Inn prototype features the brand’s green “DNA”—Distinctively New Attributes—such as Adoba Smart Solar Roofing, A-Gemini Alternative Wind Energy Solution, the A-Gemini Total Technology Property Management System, and the Journey Rewards program.

“The development and investment community has been clamoring for a green breakthrough hotel development like the Adoba Eco Inn design,” said James Henderson, Atmosphere Hospitality Management CEO. “At a more manageable development cost per key compared to non-green traditional hotels, this prototype looks to pay off in a big way for both owners and the environment.”

Like Adoba Eco Hotel & Suites, solar photovoltaic panels will be a brand standard with Adoba Eco Inn. Henderson says it will allow hotels to sell power back to the grid during the day when guestrooms are typically vacant. Minimum 50-kilowatt wind turbines will be optional with Adoba properties.

“The [solar panels] will put to bed the myth that there is not a good ROI on renewable energy,” Henderson said.

Hot Breakfast Cooked to Order

Adoba Eco Inns will offer a full complimentary breakfast with hot food cooked to order. Lunch and dinner will not be served.

Henderson said he expects to have an announcement about the first commitments to build Adoba properties in the first quarter of 2011. Atmosphere’s growth strategy is focused on top eco-driven priority markets and major cities like Denver, Tucson, Atlanta, Orlando, San Francisco, Portland (Ore.), Washington, D.C., Houston, Midland/Odessa (Texas), and Seattle.

The Adoba Eco Hotel & Suites brand was launched on Earth Day earlier this year. Its plans include a fully functioning sustainable restaurant—Atmosphere Bar and Grill—with the latest and most modern green concepts and techniques. This concept includes a full complimentary breakfast design that turns into an open wood fired grill in the evening that will compete against “free standing” restaurants. The bar design offers a dimensional, open floor plan. In the social gathering space is a “fountain of energy” and an interactive Earth Lab is planned for the lobby. An exclusive private label furniture package will be available, as well as a signature all-natural bedding package called “Green Dreams.” Xeric inspired landscaping design eliminates needless irrigation.
