ALPHARETTA, GA.—The Refinishing Touch, a leader in on-site, environmentally friendly furniture refinishing and reupholstery to governmental agencies, universities, hotels and resorts, has completed several new hotel projects in Arizona, Georgia and Washington State.

The projects included armoire modification, granite installation, refinishing, and reupholstering for Hilton Atlanta Northeast, Hilton Bellevue (Wash.), and Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort—three hotels that have undergone room refurbishment as part of Hilton’s ongoing initiatives to maintain its world-class reputation and leading standards for the tens of millions of guests it welcomes every year.

The newly renovated Hilton Atlanta Northeast is locally known as the “Castle on the Hill.” It is centrally located in Norcross, a short drive from Buckhead and downtown Atlanta, Ga. As part of the ongoing project, The Refinishing Touch has completed refurbishment and reupholstery projects within the hotel’s 272 hotel rooms, suites and executive rooms, and is completing an armoire modification process across all rooms.

Hilton Bellevue Hotel is located on Seattle’s upscale east side, close to downtown Seattle and Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac). The Refinishing Touch has updated the hotel’s 353 accommodations with armoire modification, granite installation, and refinishing.

Hilton Tucson Completes First Phase

In Arizona, the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf and Tennis Resort has completed the first phase of an armoire modification and granite installation, with armoires converted to modern and stylish TV stands. The hotel is shortly to undergo the second phase to complete the project across its 428 rooms.

The armoire modifications reflect changes across the hospitality industry as hotel brands adapt to the changing technology and styles. Analog television signals will be discontinued across the United States in 2009, so hotels are investing in new widescreen digital televisions. With hundreds of thousands of armoires across the United States, hoteliers need to be environmentally responsible and find solutions that do not simply involve “rip and replace.” The Refinishing Touch has completed 20,000 armoire modifications in the last year.

Consideration for environmental and sustainable solutions extend to The Refinishing Touch’s upholstery and refinishing methods, which are all created and delivered with the immediate environment and the global environment in mind. The company’s patent-pending finishes are odorless, nontoxic, non-flammable and environmentally friendly.
