PERTH AMBOY, N.J.—Monarch Robe & Towel Co., one of the leading suppliers of fine bathrobes and towels to the global hospitality industry, announced the appointment of Gene Faul as CEO of the company’s Hotel Division. In addition, Karen Faul has been appointed as president of the division. The announcement was made in conjunction with a planned expansion of the company’s burgeoning Hotel Division, which serves four- and five-star hotels and resorts around the world, as well as leading spas and cruise lines worldwide. The newly expanded Monarch Hotel Division will be headquartered in South Egremont, Mass.
“When we made the decision to increase our global presence in the hotel market, we knew that we needed the best the industry had to offer, so we sought out Gene and Karen, who are well known for their bathrobe and hotel linen expertise,” said Ashley Chadowitz, Monarch president. “Their extensive knowledge and connections, coupled with Monarch’s financial stability and resources, will create an ideal framework for our future growth in this sector.”
The Fauls bring to Monarch a wealth of hospitality industry experience and apparel expertise. Gene began his successful career in the apparel industry with Catalina Swimwear, where he served as executive vice president, and Cole of California, which he led for three years. After two years as president of Robes of California, he founded Cypress Apparel Group with his wife, Karen, and built the company into a major supplier of bathrobes to the luxury hotel market.
Karen Faul also began her career in the apparel industry at Cole of California, where she held the position of vice president of marketing for 17 years. Most recently, she served as president of Cypress Bathrobes, where she was instrumental in the design and quality control of their products.
