WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.—Hundreds of new products will take center stage at the 94th annual International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show (IH/M&RS), as some 35,000 professionals look to the event for the latest products to enhance the guest experience. Taking place November 7 to 10, 2009, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, the IH/M&RS will feature the latest technologies and resources of nearly 1,000 exhibiting companies.

“The IH/M&RS has a long-standing reputation as the industry event where products are launched, and this year is no exception,” said Lynn White, show manager. “From greening technologies to luxury linens, the scope of new products being introduced to the market encompasses every product category.”

In the area of technology, TV Armor will debut a LCD and plasma television screen protector that maintains the quality high definition picture; Ozone Experts will introduce Newaire, a natural, unobtrusive air deodorizer that eliminates odors within 500 square feet; VingCard will feature VISIONLINE, a new radio-frequency online electronic locking system for hotels that eliminates the need to travel from room to room for lock maintenance; and ZVOX Audio will debut the Z-Base 550 HSD GuestLink, a high-performance home theater sound system in an easy-to-install cabinet.

New green products to be showcased include The Green Room Obsessively Natural Bathroom by Amenity Services, a complete collection of all-natural bathroom amenities; ERP Guest Amenities by Concept Amenities, a range of bathroom amenities packaged in completely biodegradable packaging; Verde Energy Control System by Magnum Energy Solutions, a system that reduces energy consumption in hotel guestrooms by up to 40 percent; and Tao Freedom of the Body Uniforms, a line of environmentally-conscious, chic uniforms that break the boundaries of traditional uniforms.

For restaurant owners and operators in attendance, the Italian Trade Commission will launch Icydrink, the world’s first automatic ice glass; PastaBiz-La Monferrina will debut the Automatic Compact Pasta Factory, the smallest completely automatic pasta machine; and CounterBalance Corp. will feature Counter-A-SYST, a virtually weightless lift gate counter.

In addition to these product launches, the IH/M&RS will feature the latest in design products for the hospitality industry. The top new products at IH/M&RS 2009, as determined by a panel of editors from the leading industry trade publications, will receive Editors’ Choice Awards during the Opening Ceremony on Sunday, November 8, 9:45 a.m. to 10 a.m., in the Crystal Palace.
